Count Canna emerged from the shared passion for cannabis and the entrepreneurial spirit of a mother-son team from BC. Fueled by a desire to seize the opportunities of a burgeoning industry, we embarked on a journey that would take us through many twist and turns and from coast to coast. But you ask, how did we get here...

With a background in the hospitality sector spanning three decades, the unforeseen impact of the pandemic prompted a significant career shift. In August 2020, Count Canna Inc. was born, offering a platform to apply traditional skills in innovative ways. Our focus shifted to enhancing inventory and operations, optimizing efficiency, and delivering premium services vital for success in the dynamic cannabis industry.

Our proprietary software, R.A.D.I.O. (Resource Access Dashboard for Inventory & Operations), revolutionized retailers' practices, ushering them into the modern era. However, our biggest focus remained on Joint Connections. Recognizing the disconnect in the industry, we immersed ourselves,  tackling inventory issues from the farm to the shelf and all the way to the consumer. There was absolutely a better way!

Through hands-on experience, from learning the process from seed to trim down on the farm, to processing pre-rolls, managing a retail location, acting as budtenders and participating in culture and community events, we developed Joint Connections. Built to meet the needs of retailer's while fulfilling the desires of producers and brands. In a landscape constrained by strict advertising laws, the need for a collective space for seamless connections became apparent. Thus, jointconnections.ca powered by Count Canna's R.A.D.I.O., was born, reshaping how reps and retailers connect.

Though our recent trip to @CBC Dragons' Den didn't secure a deal, we embrace the challenge of proving the skeptics wrong and accepting their invitation to come back. We are determined to celebrate the first deal of its kind in the Den's history. As I stated  for the world to hear, "I'm just not done!"

This journey has been a passion, a goal, and a challenge for my son, Jesse Cozzuol, and myself over the last 3.5 years, but we believe in the power of collaboration and cannabis and remain committed to making a difference, removing stigma, and propelling the industry towards certainty and sustainability. And we won't stop until we get there. You can count on it!
